Gleaners Food Pantry

Want to make a difference in your community? Become a food pantry volunteer and help ensure that the more than 1 million hungry Hoosiers have food on their table and go to bed healthy and happy.

Food pantry volunteers will load pre-boxed food boxes of meat, dairy, and fresh produce into client cars as they come through our drive-through pantry. Volunteers are also needed to direct traffic into, through, and out of the building.

• Some heavy lifting is involved - up to 30 lbs

• Accommodations can be made if needed. Just let us know!

No experience required - we'll train you at the start of your first shift! No commitments required, you can volunteer for one shift or as many as you would like!

Volunteers are needed for the following days and times:

Tuesdays 9:30am-12:45pm and/or 12:30-3:30pm
Wednesdays 9:30am-12:45pm and/or 12:30-3:30pm
Thursdays 1:30-4:45pm and/or 4:30-7:30pm
 

**All volunteers must wear a mask or facial covering while volunteering as noted in the state wide Public Health Order.

**While Gleaners is exempt from the social distancing rule due to the nature of our business, we are doing everything we can to ensure a safe working environment for our staff and volunteers. We have sanitation stations set up around the building and are providing gloves for all volunteers. We are preventing large gatherings and, where possible, keeping everyone six feet apart.

**When you arrive, we will take your temperature using a forehead thermometer. This information will not be recorded.
