Gleaners + IPS Meal Program

Volunteers are helping us serve family meal boxes provided by Gleaners to families across the IPS district every Monday and Friday evening. Each box feeds a family of four several days. We’re averaging nearly 10,000 boxes distributed per week.

High School Laptop Distribution

Volunteers are helping IPS pack and ship laptops to more than 5,000 IPS high school students. This laptop distribution program will ensure our students are able to complete their coursework remotely during the shutdown and still graduate despite the pandemic. Nearly 75% of IPS students qualify for free or reduced lunch and have limited access to technology so support from the district and community is key as we implement our home learning plan.

Please note, all volunteers must:
-Be 18 years of age or older
-Provide their own transportation to assigned location
-Be able to lift up to 20 pounds
-Be free of any Coronavirus symptoms
-Provide your own protective gear if you feel the need (for example: plastic gloves, sanitizer, etc.)
