Opportunity Details

ReadUP - Stony Creek: Thursdays, 7:50-8:35

"

Volunteers read 45 minutes a week with one third grade student helping kids get on track - and stay on track - with grade-level literacy.
Doing this important work, you won't be on your own. United Way of Central Indiana has been running this program for 14 years with great success. You'll have training, mentors and lots of other volunteers working along side you.
Its important to note that this is also a school-calendar length committement. For some people, that's a little too much, but the kids need you! So, we've got some options:

  • Take on the 45 minutes a week on your own. You've got this.
  • Sign-up with a friend or coworker and split the schedule.
  • Join us as a substitute for this school and help us by filling in when someone else can't make it.

When you click below to Express Interest in this opportunity, you will get to choose one of these options.

ReadUp starts up September 7th and runs through April of 2022.

*For this school, the cost of the background check is $18.95 per volunteer*

Please note the Noblesville school district COVID-19 protocols for the 2021 - 2022 school year: Masks are required indoors for all volunteers.
