Library Summer Refresh
The Putnam County Public Library is seeking volunteers to help us refresh the library and its meeting rooms! Join us for a day of sprucing and tidying throughout the library. We hope to engage volunteers to assist with:
- washing the meeting room walls
- wiping down surfaces in the meeting room
- dusting and wiping down shelves throughout the building
- tidying shelves and straightening books and materials
- tightening screws on meeting room furniture and oiling joints
Should we have the max number of volunteers, there may be an opportunity for some outside work either swapping out the library's StoryWalk picture-book displays OR light outdoor cleanup. PCPL provides free and equitable access to information, services, and resources for all residents of and visitors to Putnam County
About us:
The library provides outreach and community services through materials delivery and off-site programming. A belief in the transformative power of literacy through the adoption of new technologies informs all aspects of PCPL’s service models including collection development, programming and instruction, onsite and remote support, community partnerships, and early literacy initiatives such as the Imagination Library program.
Volunteers for this project would benefit the library and our patrons by helping us spruce up the building, giving it a fresh and clean look for the Summer! We hope you will join us for a fun day of tidying.
