Beautification at Peace Restored

Peace Restored is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping women find hope and healing from difficult life experiences. We understand the value of having a welcoming and peaceful place to serve women. With recent growth, we have moved into a new building and this will be the first spring we have been in this building. Nature offers a sense of calm and is very supportive towards emotional recovery. This is why we would like to beautify Peace Restored by making the front and sides of our building visually pleasing.

Here are some of the key volunteer initiatives we have in mind:

Landscaping and Gardening: Volunteers will work on planting flowers and shrubs as well as updating and spreading mulch in an existing garden bed around the building. This will help create a welcoming, serene atmosphere around the campus.

Refreshing Common Spaces: Volunteers will help freshen up areas like walkways and around buildings to ensure they are free of weeds. This can greatly improve the visual appeal of the campus.

Creating Outdoor Seating Areas: Volunteers will assist in setting up or improving outdoor seating areas, including assembling benches or picnic tables. This will offer peaceful spots for reflection and relaxation for both staff and visitors.

Signage and Way finding Improvements: Volunteers may also help improve signage across the campus, ensuring it’s clear, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing. Volunteers will assist in installing lights in the front of the building to ensure it is well lit for security and easy to find for first time guest.

Indoor option: Volunteers who prefer to work inside (and weather dependent), there will be plenty of task that will help us organize, clean and operate smoothly in our office and event center.

These activities are designed to enhance the environment for everyone who visits and works at Peace Restored. Come ready to work outside and possibly get dirty. If the weather is looking poor, we will have plenty of tasks indoor for volunteers to complete.
